Dear Parents/Guardians:
The school year is now underway and I’m sure your children must be excited to be back in classes. The thoughts of learning new concepts, meeting friends, and participating in school activities must be something they have been looking forward to during the summer months.
I would like to take this opportunity to first, thank you for having enrolled your children in our tutoring programs in the past. Even though the new school year has just begun, please remember to keep track of your child’s progress at school. Talk to your child regularly on how he/she is doing in classes. In addition, take a look at your child’s workbooks and notebooks to check progress. Finally, on a daily basis, ask your child if his/her homework is completed. Too many times, students do not completely finish their homework and thus, lose easy marks.
As a teacher who is concerned with the progress of students, it is my opinion that if your child is struggling with school, register him/her in our tutoring programs as soon as needed. DO NOT wait until your child receives the first report card and you notice that improvement is needed. By then, it will take much more effort to improve marks than if tutoring would have started earlier.
