Being a certified teacher for the past nine years in the BC public school system, it was becoming evident that school alone did not meet the academic and personal needs of students. Many students still needed supplementary help in order to achieve success. After countless meetings with other teachers, parents, and students, it was felt that there was a need for an independent organization that would provide this extra support to students. As a result, Smart Choices Institute of Learning Inc. was established in the spring of 2004 by a team of academic professionals.

Within one year, demand for our services was growing at such a rate that we had to relocate to a bigger location. Today, our learning center has a total space of over 1700 square feet, with 4 classrooms, a designated preschool room, and a conference room. In the next month, we have plans to complete our computer training room as well.
Our organization's primary goal is to provide educational services for students of all grade levels, regardless of skill or ability. We have a number of programs, including preschool, tutoring, enrichment, ESL, computer training, and many others. In addition, every summer, we offer programs that prepare students for the next grade level.
The staff at Smart Choices Institute of Learning Inc. prides itself on its commitment to honesty, integrity, and excellence in education. We are first, and foremost, educators.
